Our approach

The goal of the Manta Catalog is to improve our understanding of the Mobulid species found in the Eastern Atlantic. Although crucial for the development of effective conservation measures, both locally and globally, knowledge about their ecology and biology in this region is still very limited. In addition, the project aims to promote community engagement through outreach and participation in scientific research, raising awareness of the importance of conserving these rays.
